Re: Season 18 / 19 Comments
I gather from a very well connected source that CH was locked in a 121 meeting with the Chairman for 45 minutes between 6 and 7pm right after the Ballmuff abomination. It got heated, but he survived.

Re: Season 18 / 19 Comments
After the Lords Mayor's show of a week ago we had Bournemouth. A team that cannot win away from home for love or money.
Yet they did what we feared Man City might have done just 7 days ago, but didn't, a 0-5 scoreline. No idea how that really happened, but a combination of poor results and performances boiled up into one big mess, plus Eddie Howe. In the league an Eddie Howe's Bournemouth is our nemesis.
Not sure about the manager being locked in with Tony Bloom for 45 minutes, think the whole team should have been locked up, for fraud, pretending to be professional footballers!

Re: Season 18 / 19 Comments
Maybe the season can be summed up in sections as:
Overachieved, cup deceived, fear believed, very relieved.
Thankfully it is over and we survived.

Re: Season 18 / 19 Comments
See my post of April 14th. Seems th decision was made then, and behind the scenes since then it has been very very bitter indeed. Personally I’m glad we’ve shifted CH out. He is the easiest manager for opposing managers to out think, the quality of football and entertainment value is appalling, the players believe he is stunting their futures, and despite our 23s coming third in the top league, CH has not blooded a single one of them at first team level. All of those factors are things that TB absolutely detests. Thanks Chris, good man, good progress, but he is the past and most definitely not the future.
