Re: The 2011-12 Season Standings

Week 6 (24th / 25th Sept '11)

Div 1

McGetta (4) 56
Wilts (5) 47
SDU (5) 45
Cheshire (3) 45
Blimby (5) 43
Locky (8) 42
Dave (3) 37
Ian (6) 34
Wills (8) 27
Gong (5) 27

Wilts and SDU both overtake Chesh, in a low-scoring week. Best movers with 8 points each this time were Locky and Wills, who drags Gong back to rock bottom

Div 2

Andy (5) 55
Eric (4) 49
Mrs Haddock (3) 46
Haddock (6) 44
Al (5) 42
Sharon (6) 39
Early (8) 31
Norton (8) 30
Midland (4) 29
Matthew The Gooner (9) 28
& TFMrsWills (9) 28
Mrs Midland (6) 27
Turkey (5) 27
Braders (8) 26
Mrs Locky (3) 26

No change at the top, though I've closed in with a third consecutive tally of 6. Good movement from Early and Norton into mid-table (careful, Maria - you'll get a nose bleed or altitude sickness!!!emoticon), but the biggest scorers both came from the lower reaches with Matthew and The Future Mrs Wills both notching week's best 9's.

With Braders also scoring well (8) to rise from the bottom, it all spells big trouble for luckless Mrs Locky, who's miserly 3 points this week has cost her dear.

Re: The 2011-12 Season Standings

Week 7 (1st / 2nd Oct '11)

Div 1

McGetta (10) 66
Cheshire (10) 55
SDU (8) 53
Locky (9) 51
Wilts (2) 49
Blimby (5) 48
Dave (8) 45
Ian (9) 43
Gong (10) 37
Wills (6) 33

So McG has slightly extended his lead while Cheshire returns to form after a one-off disaster last week.

Plenty of movement elsewhere with SDU and Locky rising back and Dave, Ian and Gong all scoring very well from lower down the ranks...which is bad news for Wills, who takes hold of that wooden spoon.

An international break awaits, so next exchanges come in a fortnight.

Div 2

Andy (6) 61
Eric (8) 57
Al (13) 55
Mrs Haddock (8) 54
Haddock (6) 50
Sharon (7) 46
Midland (10) 39
Early (8) 39
Norton (6) 36
Braders (9) 35
Turkey (6) 33
TFMrsWills (5) 33
Mrs Midland (5) 32
Mrs Locky (4) 30
Matthew The Gooner (1) 29

Al grabbed the best weekly score - a magnificent 13 (4 each for Man City, Leicester and Hudds + 1 for Suarez) beating his previous personal best of 11, to move above me (I scored my guaranteed 6 again!).

Midders, Braders and, er ...Earlers? all scored well but Matthew crashed right back down to earth after his uncharacteristically high 9 last week....he scored just 1 to slip several places back to the bottom! It's just all going wrong for Arsenal and their fans now!!!

Re: The 2011-12 Season Standings

Week 8 (15th / 16th Oct '11)

Div 1

McGetta (6) 72
Locky (8) 59
Cheshire (4) 59
SDU (5) 58
Blimby (6) 54
Wilts (5) 54
Dave (8) 53
Ian (7) 50
Gong (8) 45
Wills (3) 36

So McG has extended his lead by another two points to 13 points now, Locky jumps up two places to 2nd and after weeks of mediocracy Gong has followed last week's 10 with another solid 8 to race away from 3-point Wills and to within range of the pack.

Div 2

Eric (9) 66
Andy (3) 64
Al (8) 63
Mrs Haddock (4) 58
Haddock (3) 53
Sharon (5) 51
Midland (6) 45
Turkey (11) 44
Early (5) 44
Braders (6) 41
Mrs Midland (8) 40
Matthew The Gooner (8) 37
Norton (1) 37
Mrs Locky (6) 36
TFMrsWills (2) 35

So Eric re-takes top spot with the week's 2nd best score of 9. Turkey outscored him with 11 (nearly twice his personal best) to rise up to mid-table safety.

Matthew bounced back from his disasterous 1 last week to jump three places from bottom (a position Mrs Locky avoided slipping into by virtue of TFMrs Wills' disasterous tally of just 2). Norton had an even more awful week, scoring 1, to leave her on the brink of a return to her regular spot at rock bottom... emoticon

Re: The 2011-12 Season Standings

Week 9 (22nd / 23rd Oct '11)

Div 1

McGetta (5) 77
Locky (9) 68
Cheshire (8) 67
Dave (12) 65
SDU (7) 65
Blimby (10) 64
Ian (9) 59
Wilts (3) 57
----------------
Gong (1) 46
Wills (2) 38

Hardly any change after the weekend's business, with Locky chipp(man)ing another 4 points off McGetta's substantial lead.

Biggest flops this week are Wilts, who slips two places to third-bottom; Gong, who has Darren Bent's penalty-converting prowess to thank for avoiding the division's first blank of the season; and Wills, who's woeful 2 points still somehow allowed him to (slightly) close the gap on Gong.

Div 2

Andy (10) 74
Al (9) 72
Eric (6) 72
Sharon (11) 62
-----------------------
Mrs Haddock (4) 62
Haddock (6) 59
Turkey (10) 54
Midland (5) 50
Early (5) 49
Mrs Midland (5) 45
Matthew The Gooner (7) 44
Braders (0) 41
TFMrsWills (3) 38
Norton (1) 38
Mrs Locky (1) 37

The lead has changed hands yet again at the top of Div 2, with Andy regaining the summit once more and Al also overtaking previous top boy Eric (he's pwopper nawty, you know!).

Sharon and Turkey are the big movers, while Braders gains the dubious honour of becoming the first - and only so far - owner of a blank weekend!

At the barrel-scraping end of the table, TFMrsWills has somehow climbed up two places despite only scoring a piffling 3. This is due to Norton recording a consecutive 1 and Mrs Locky matching her tally this week...meaning a lucky escape for nose-diving Norton.

As you will see, the promotion and relegation bars are now included in the tables.

Due to Munkeyboy and Rochdale not entering teams this year, Div 1 is 2 down on last year's numbers and Div 2 is UP on numbers with new entrants joining for the first time.

In order to even up the numbers for next year (assuming everyone will be returning), I have taken the liberty of installing a '2 down, 4 up' arrangement for this season...will be reviewed in the close season.

Re: The 2011-12 Season Standings

Week 10 (29th / 30th Oct '11)

Div 1

McGetta (5) 82
Dave (8) 73
Cheshire (5) 72
Locky (4) 72
Blimby (5) 69
SDU (4) 69
Ian (4) 63
Wilts (5) 62
----------------
Gong (5) 51
Wills (4) 42

Not much to report on a low scoring week, with Dave's move up two to 2nd being the only notable change.

Div 2

Andy (6) 80
Al (6) 78
Eric (5) 77
Sharon (7) 69
-----------------------
Mrs Haddock (2) 64
Haddock (2) 61
Mrs Midland (13) 58
Turkey (4) 58
Matthew The Gooner (12) 56
Midland (6) 56
Early (4) 53
Braders (6) 47
TFMrsWills (6) 44
& Norton (6) 44
Mrs Locky (1) 38

Not much happening in Div 2 this week either apart from Mrs Midland's 3-place leap into 7th with a towering haul of 13 and Matthew rose 2 places with his 12.
