Season 2011-12

Week 1 - August 13th/14th

Div 1

Dave 8
Locky 7
Ian 6
Blimby 6
McGetta 6
Chesh 5
Wilts 5
SDU 4
Wills 2
Gong 1

So a good start for promoted McGetta, while Gong's relegation-battling season of last time looks like rearing its ugly head again.

So far Munkeyboy and Rochdale haven't submitted teams.

Div 2

Sharon 8
Andy 7
Al 7
Mrs Locky 7
Haddock 6
Mrs Haddock 6
Turkey 6
Eric 5
Norton 4
Early 3
TFMrsW 3
Braders 2
Midders 2
Gooner 2
Mrs Midders 1

A great start for my sis' at the top and for debutants Al and Mrs Locky (despite Mrs L picking Bolton!!!), while not so good starts for the other newbies!!!

NB If Munkeyboy and / or Roch fail to enter teams by the end of the year they will be disqualified and additional (to the norm) promotion slots will become available for the end of the season, in the interests of keeping even(ish) numbers in the divisions.

Re: The 2011-12 Season Standings

Week 2 (20th/21st Aug)

Div 1

Ian (9) 15
& Blimby (9) 15
Locky (8) 15
Dave (7) 15
McGetta (8) 14
SDU (9) 13
Chesh (7) 12
Wilts (6) 11
Wills (6) 8
Gong (4) 5

So plenty of early season jostling with Ian and Blimby heading matters on week's better rule.

Gong should have gone down instead of me last season emoticon and he looks like fulfilling his destiny so far this campaign!!!

Div 2

Andy (9) 16
& Al (9) 16
Haddock (9) 15
Sharon (6) 14
Eric (8) 13
Norton (7) 11
Mrs Haddock (5) 11
Mrs Locky (4) 11
Early (7) 10
Turkey (4) 10
Braders (5) 7
& Midders (5) 7
TFMrsW (4) 7
Mrs Midders (3) 4
Gooner (2) 4

Andy / Al take top spot and Haddock 3rd place after all top-scoring with 9.

Meantime, Oooo (or rather oh) to be a ... Gooner!!!

Re: The 2011-12 Season Standings

Week 3 (27th/28th August)

Div 1

McGetta (16) 30
SDU (12) 25
Locky (10) 25
Wilts (13) 24
Cheshire (12) 24
Blimby (8) 23
Ian (7) 22
& Dave (7) 22
Wills (7) 15
Gong (6) 11

So on a record breaking weekend for The Accumulator, the table's been turned on it's head with several people passing the previous leaders.

McGetta, newly promoted, has got into gear (and the top of the table) like a finely tuned BHA!!! - bagging a 'world record' 16 [SIXTEEN!!!].

SDU, Locky, Wilts and Chesh also scored well into double figures on a very high scoring round...you can guess what made a significant difference...although impressively Locky did so without any Man Utd ingredients.

Div 2

Andy (14) 30
Eric (15) 28
Al (11) 27
Haddock (11) 26
Mrs Haddock (11) 22
Sharon (7) 21
Norton (7) 18
Early (6) 16
Mrs Locky (4) 15
Midland (7) 14
Turkey (4) 14
Mrs Midland (9) 13
Braders (6) 13
&TFMrsW (6) 13
Matthew The Gooner (5) 9

And a divisional record weekly score here too with Eric taking a virtual bow for his stunning (Man U assisted) 15 [FIFTEEN!!!].

However that wasn't quite enough to bag top spot as leader Andy also scored a highly impressive tally (14).

Al and the Haddocks all scored well to move up the ladder, while there's plenty of jostling for places elsewhere with debutante Mrs Midders climbing clear of the 'dregs' (emoticon) with a much-improved 9.

There's a week off for the international break next weekend, with the scoring back on for weekend of 10th / 11th Sept.

Oh and regarding dear Old Albion, did you know that we just happen to be.....

TOP O' THE LEAGUE, I SAID WE ARE TOP O' THE LEAGUE!!!!!!!!

Re: The 2011-12 Season Standings

Week 4 (10th / 11th Sept).

So we are back after the international break and here's the latest standings after the weekend.

Div 1

McGetta (13) 43
Wilts (11) 35
SDU (10) 35
Blimby (9) 32
Cheshire (8) 32
Locky (6) 31
Dave (4) 26
Ian (2) 24
Wills (3) 18
Gong (5) 16

After a record weekly score of 16 last week, on fire McGetta has continued his assault on the top division he has just joined with another week's best of 13 to stretch his lead...he's already 8 clear after 4 weeks.

Ian had a 'mare with only 2 and Wills similarly struggled badly with 3. However, no-one can take Gong's (ketchup-tinged) wooden spoon away from him at the moment!!!

Div 2

Andy (10) 40
Eric (11) 39
Al (6) 33
Haddock (6) 32
Mrs Haddock (9) 31
Sharon (5) 26
Turkey (6) 20
Mrs Locky (5) 20
Norton (2) 20
Midland (5) 19
Early (3) 19
Braders (3) 16
& TFMrsW (3) 16
Mrs Midland (2) 15
Matthew The Gooner (4) 13

This week Andy and Eric stretch their lead while perennial struggler Mrs Haddock continues her surprise healthy start with another 9.

Norton and Early slip into old habits with terrible scores and Matthew has closed the gap at the bottom.

Re: The 2011-12 Season Standings

Week 5 (17th / 18th Sept '11)

Div 1

McGetta (9) 52
Cheshire (10) 42
Wilts (7) 42
SDU (5) 40
Blimby (6) 38
Dave (8) 34
Locky (3) 34
Ian (4) 28
Gong (6) 22
Wills (1) 19

Oh dear, Wills! A piffling 1 point to sink to the bottom. A relegation campaign looms large for you at the moment. Best week was had by McG' with his lead stretching 9 and Chesh, who clawed himself up all of three places into second...look over your shoulder McG!!!

Div 2

Andy (10) 50
Eric (6) 45
Mrs Haddock (12) 43
Haddock (6) 38
Al (4) 37
Sharon (7) 33
Midland (6) 25
Early (4) 23
Mrs Locky (3) 23
Turkey (2) 22
& Norton (2) 22
Mrs Midland (6) 21
Matthew The Gooner (6) 19
TFMrsW (3) 19
Braders (2) 18

Mrs Haddock is in the form of her life! A 'career best' 12 sees her shoot up the rankings and scupper my rise by one place! emoticon

Andy is still THE form man with a 2nd consecutive 10 and Mrs Midland and Matthew both bagged much-needed 6-point-hauls.

TFMrs Wills would have subsequently dropped to the bottom but avoided it by creeping past luckless Braders.

Re: The 2011-12 Season Standings

Wht are you two banging on about?!

Scoring is 1 point per weekend goal.

Gong had Chel (1), Ips (3), Crewe (2) and Bent (0) = 6

Mrs M had Ars (3), Ips (3), Colch (0) and Van Persie (0) = 6
