Not a fun game Chesh. Largely because I was freezing and kept getting wet even 3/4 back in the west stand! I hadn't thought I would need to start wearing my layers in sept- well lesson learnt.

Yes it was bit of a shock after months of dry, warm weather. Just wrap up well for Friday, no rain predicted and only a gentle S/W breeze, so nowhere near the Spurs match conditions, but it is an October autumnal evening!

We really needs those 3 points but even more so the clean sheet. Great to have Bruno back- my sister was so excited she was bouncing in her seat when they read his name! Izzy looked really pleased to be back and dangerous when he came on. I liked Solly playing there, clearly new to everyone and would take a bit of getting used to but I could see it working really well. AJ looked good too but i don't get the love for Bissouma, I haven't seen anything yet which makes me feel he is ready for a 1st team place.
Chesh I wrapped up this time and was too hot! Lol

I hear Gong has already designed his Glen Murray 100 goals T-shirt to mark the occasion when he scores next. lol

Bissouma is okay and young and will get better with each game. However, he has a great song and apart from Glen Murray in Wonderland is the only good song we really have to echo around the ground along with the haunting strains of Al-bi-on.

And so the song has made number one before the player is really ready for such accolade, even he seems a bit puzzled by it all. Must be awful for other players who are doing well and do not have a song.

Re: Season 18 / 19 Comments

There's only one Glen Murray - 100 goals for the Albion even Gong has sent him a congratulations card. :-)

But apart from that and the amazing Duffy, Dunk and Ryan Brick wall, it was far from a Premier League spectacular performance. Was it one shot on target for us and that was the goal?

Yet to carve out a win from such a performance for a vital 3 points maybe just beats the Wolves version of having most of the possession and chances, but losing.

3 x 1-0 wins and clean sheets = 9 points from 9.

Not a good performance at all. Even Bruno had a rough game. But you need a bit of luck and those 3 points could be so vital at the end of the season. Anyone know how long Propper and Gross are out for?
AJ has moments of looking really good but is clearly still settling in.

Re: Season 18 / 19 Comments

So two away matches on the trot and two losses.

Everton - we never win at Everton - and we still have never won at Everton.

Cardiff - look certs to go down and first half did look poor. However, instead of whipping them having taken the lead, we messed it up and let them win.

Okay, so their winner was offside and Stephens decided to go into a tackle hard to see red to help them out, but why are we making it too easy for the opposition, especially away from home.
