Season 18 / 19 Comments
After the end is nigh thread, we are still here, and a new top photo has appeared on the main page. However, the end has probably come, but for anyone who pops in, this is somewhere to leave a comment, maybe about a player or a recent match, or even about one of the old BOMB crew.
While on about the old BOMB crew, Wedgee's thread about Indiana being seriously ill, was very valid. However, I am please to say that he has recovered enough to now be getting back to normal life, which is great news
If you are really adventurous you can even start a new thread, but do not be too disappointed if no one responds.

Re: Season 18 / 19 Comments
Last season the team went 13 matches without an away win, and had the record for number of goals conceded from a corner.
So why are we so surprised that away to Watford we field basically last seasons team and lose to a goal scored from a corner?

We put out nearly the same team as last season away to Watford and we lost, funny that, Hughton out.

Re: Season 18 / 19 Comments
On the other hand wilts they are games we would never have expected to get anything from so we can settle a team down without losing points that we would have expected to get. Would be worse to loose to Cardiff and wolves while the team is settling down then play top 6 teams.

Re: Season 18 / 19 Comments
Good match, great atmosphere and more importantly 3 points. As you say Wilts really did not expect that, beating United once okay, but twice in two home matches on the trot, (plus 3-4 months gap) is pushing the fortune stakes, yet worthy winners.
Balogun slotted into Dunk's position so well you did not see the join. Very composed and maybe not as reckless as Dunk can be. As for Murray 35 next month and he was running around like a youngster. However, a wise old war horse that still gets results is maybe a more accurate description. But overall a great team performance.
Liverpool will be a different prospect, we struggle a bit with fast direct attacking teams (Watford) and Liverpool are the masters of that game. After last season if we keep them 3-0 or below it will be an improvement. Still maybe we will catch then on a rare off day!

Re: Season 18 / 19 Comments
What a brilliant game! My dad came and I have told him he can come again! 3 points we definetly weren't expecting.
I was really concerned when Dunk came off but Balogun was great. Montoya fitted in well but he doesn't go forward anything like Bruno but maybe this will free Knocky to go forward more?
Between Murray and Bruno (when he is fit) still running around people will start to wonder what we are feeding them. I think Murray really knows how and when to conserve his energy so he can use it at the right time.
The positive side to Dunk's injury-he won't be able to score an own goal at Anfield!
The blokes behind us who do like a good moan were moaning about CH tactics when we were winning 2-0 I felt like saying if CH wants to put Ryan up front right now then I would take his word it was a good idea!
