Re: ******Season 2015-16******

Week 5

September 12th weekend

So after a week's break for the international fixtures, The Accumulator is back. Here's the latest:

Div 1

Haddock (7) 41
McGetta (8) 40
Patrick Starfish (15) 39
Wills (7) 35
Blimby (13) 33
Wilts (3) 29
Cheshire (8) 27
Ian (9) 23

For the second successive week McGetta has trimmed a point off Haddock's lead, which is now just one slender point's advantage. Without a shadow of a doubt the most eye-catching tallies were from Patrick Starfish (FIFTEEN!!!) and Blimby (THIRTEEN!!!).

PatStar's 15 rockets him right up to third place and just two points off the summit in what is starting to look an intriguing early battle.

Biggest slumpster is Wilts, who follows a terrible 2 points last time out with a scarcely better 3 this week. The International break certainly didn't replenish him and he suffers a dramatic drop in the rankings as a result.

Div 2

Mrs Haddock (9) 37
Sharon (8) 31
Early (10) 30
Sully (6) 30
Andy (7) 29
Matthew The Gooner (6) 29
Uwinsc (5) 29
Ballantrrae (4) 28
Braders (5) 26
Gong (7) 25
Dave (6) 24
& Turkey (6) 24

In a very tight Div 2 so far Sharon, Early, Andy and Gong have clamboured up the table a bit, while Mrs Haddock continues to lead the way at the top.

McGetta: I have backdated all the tables so far to incorporate your late-added scores week-by-week. As you can see you've made a great start!

Week 6

September 19th weekend

Div 1

Haddock (7) 48
McGetta (5) 45
Patrick Starfish (5) 44
Wills (6) 41
Blimby (7) 40
Wilts (4) 33
Cheshire (5) 32
Ian (4) 27

Top scorers with 7 were Haddock (same score three weeks in a row) and Blimby in an uneventful week.

Div 2

Mrs Haddock (2) 39
Andy (8) 37
Sharon (6) 37
Uwinsc (7) 36
Braders (9) 35
Ballantrrae (7) 35
Sully (5) 35
Matthew the Gooner (5) 34
Early (4) 34
Dave (5) 29
Turkey (4) 28
Gong (2) 27

A terrible week for Mrs H, but she hangs onto top spot, with Andy the big riser into second place.

Top scorer Braders (9) overtakes, Ballantrrae, who in turn overtakes Sully as the grappling for places in a very tight division continues!

Meantime Gong drops back to the bottom after a one week reprieve.

My pleasure emoticon

First of two trannie windows will be after the Nov 7th games (there appears to be a blank week - internationals I think).

Re: ******Season 2015-16******

Week 7

September 26th weekend

Div 1

Haddock (9) 57
Patrick Starfish (11) 55
McGetta (10) 55
Blimby (11) 51
Wills (10) 51
Chesh (14) 46
Wilts (4) 37
-------------
Ian (9) 36

The leading competitors are squeezing in ever tighter in an enthralling early season sprint. PattyStar, McG, Blimby and Wills all stepped on well this week.

This would have developed a chasm between them and the bottom three had it not been for Chesh's swaggering tally of 14, which fills that potential void. Another bad week sees Wilts slip towards 'the nasty spot'!

Div 2

Sharon (11) 48
Mrs Haddock (7) 46
Matthew The Gooner (11) 45
Sully (10) 45
---------------
Early (10) 44
Braders (9) 44
Uwinsc (8) 44
Ballantrrae (6) 41
Andy (4) 41
Gong (13) 40
Dave (11) 40
Turkey (3) 31

New leader is Sharon, with Matthew, Sully and Early all scoring their way up the table handsomely - in and around the newly-added promotion dividing line.

There were also some impressive movements in the nether regions with Gong top-scoring for the division to out-do fellow resurgent Dave. Turkey is already looking in trouble and we're nowhere near Christmas yet!!!

One more week coming up before another international break.

(First transfer window will be in early November, by the way.)

Re: ******Season 2015-16******

Hi guys, sorry for the long delay updating the last game from before the international break...totally forgot!!!

Week 8

3rd October weekend

Div 1

McGetta (9) 64
Patrick Starfish (8) 63
Haddock (6) 63
Blimby (11) 62
Wills (10) 61
Chesh (12) 58
Wilts (11) 48
-------------
Ian (9) 45

So for the first time Haddock has relinquished top spot to McGetta, with PattyFish pushing him down to third.

It's all down to who has Man City (and / or Aguero) with some subsequently big scores this week, especially in the lower half of the table.

Div 2

Matthew the Gooner (13) 58
Andy (16) 57
Mrs Haddock (11) 57
Braders (12) 56
-----------------
Sharon (6) 54
Early (8) 52
Gong (8) 48
Ballantrrae (7) 48
Uwinsc (4) 48
Sully (3) 48
Dave (6) 46
Turkey (14) 45

Outstanding performers this week were Andy - who goes up several places right up to 2nd in the table (one more point would have seen him top) with his amazing tally of 16 (he has City AND Aguero!) - and Turkey, who bizarrely stays bottom of the table despite the early stage of the season and a mammoth total of 14 this week....that's because he trailed at the foot of the table by a sizeable 9 points prior to kick-off. Lots of jostling for positions elsewhere as the table struggles to settle into any sort of real pattern.

Special mention, though, for new leader Matthew, Mrs H and Braders who all bagged double-figure weekly hauls.

Following a dead week due to the internationals we return to action this weekend (17th / 18th).

Re: ******Season 2015-16******

Week 9

17th October weekend

Div 1

McGetta (12) 76
Wills (9) 70
Patrick Starfish (7) 70
Blimby (7) 69
Cheshire (10) 68
Haddock (5) 68
Wilts (7) 55
-------------
Ian (1) 46

McGetta gained the summit last time a fortnight ago, this week he extends his lead with a high-scoring 12.

Wills rises the ranks to 2nd, while Chesh gets himself in amongst it for the first time in weeks after a third successive double-figure tally. VERY impressive stuff...the leaders will be looking over their shoulders now!!!

Meantime, having lost the top spot last week, Haddock's woeful form is starting to reap its sorry harvest as he plummets all the way down to 6th!!!

While that's bad, it's far more miserable for sorry Ian, who's pitiful 1 point score leaves him well adrift at the bottom. He and Wilts will both have to improve form to pull away from their current perilous positions.

Div 2

Mrs Haddock (12) 69
Braders (8) 64
Andy (7) 64
Matthew the Gooner (6) 64
-----------------
Sharon (8) 62
Early (7) 59
Turkey (12) 57
Gong (8) 56
Sully (7) 55
Ballantrrae (5) 53
Dave (6) 52
Uwinsc (4) 52

So a great week for Mrs H, who rises two places to the top, while Braders overtakes Andy, who in turn overtakes Matthew as it's all change again!!!

Turkey passes FIVE competitors as he flies up the table following his second successive double-figures score. Just like Chesh in the division above, he's come from obscurity to look like a challenger for honours.

Three more rounds of games until the first transfer window opens!
