Re: Season 2014-15

Next up is the busy Christmas schedule with fixtures on Boxing Day, then a second batch spread over the period 28th-30th Dec. Lots to play for.

Please note there will be the second transfer window after that (during the New Year / FA Cup periods). Details to follow.

Re: Season 2014-15

Week 16

26th December Boxing Day Fixtures

Div 1

Wilts (13) 139
Haddock (13) 136
Midland (8) 115
Ian (5) 114
Cheshire (7) 113
Wills (9) 111
McGetta (6) 110
Elmer (11) 109
-----------------
Braders (5) 98

The top two are by far the biggest movers in the title race again and are now threatening to seriously run away with the spoils. This time it was Norwich who gave them their biggest scores (6) in an overall 13.

Also Boxing clever this week is Elmer (11) who leaves Braders high and dry.

Div 2

Blimby (12) 141
----------------
Turkey (12) 132
Mrs Haddock (13) 128
Sully (10) 122
& Early (10) 122
Matthew The Gooner (9) 118
Gong (9) 110
Norton (9) 81
Uwinsc (6) 76
Andy (10) 68

Blimby keeps setting a strong pace with 12 this Boxing Day. He remains 9 clear of Christmas Turkey who matched his haul.

Top scorer though was Mrs Haddock who bagged 13 to keep up her excellent form (11,11,13).

Meantime Andy continues to try his ambitious plan to raise the ranks having been a very late starter to this year's comp. His 10 gained him ground in what was, all-in-all, a high-scoring week in Div 2.

Results from the one set of games played from 28th-30th inclusive will follow in next 24 hours (apologies for the delay).

Meantime please see Accumulator Transfer Thread in General Chat for news of the January transfer window.

Re: Season 2014-15

Week 17

28th-30th Dec Fixtures

Div 1

Wilts (4) 143
Haddock (4) 140
Cheshire (8) 121
Midland (6) 121
Elmer (8) 117
Wills (6) 117
Ian (3) 117
McGetta (5) 115
-----------------
Braders (4) 102

The pacesetters match on scores yet again while Chesh moves back up the ranks with his 8 points, a top-scoring tally shared with Elmer, who overtakes Wills just as he in turn overtakes plummeting [sign in to see URL]'s racing towards relegation at the moment. Braders remains adrift at the bottom, though.

Div 2

Blimby (4) 145
----------------
Turkey (7) 139
Mrs Haddock (3) 131
Matthew The Gooner (12) 130
Sully (8) 130
Early (5) 127
Gong (4) 114
Norton (10) 91
Uwinsc (7) 83
Andy (6) 74

No-one changed places except with hot-shooting Matthew, who's towering tally of 12 propelled him up the ranks and into contention. Gong continues to struggle (rather surprisingly) while Norts had a great week.

We are currently into the transfer window with the next games this coming weekend (Sat 10th / Sun 11th Jan).

Re: Season 2014-15

Week 18

10th-11th Jan '15 Fixtures

So post-Accumulator-transfer window and back to the action last weekend with the table now looking thus....

Div 1

Wilts (8) 151
Haddock (7) 147
Cheshire (10) 131
Midland (6) 127
McGetta (6) 121
Ian (4) 121
Wills (3) 120
Elmer (1) 118
-----------------
Braders (4) 106

Chesh top-scored to close the gap on the pace-setters just a little bit (his Bristol City transfer proving fruitful so far).

It's all change in the battle to avoid slipping into the relegation zone with McG overtaking Ian, who overtook Wills, who overtook Elmer. Elmer's piffling score of just 1 leaving him nearest the dividing line but it's all pretty tight down there. Crucially, basement boy Braders is doing a good job of keeping his distance from would-be rival flops!!!!!

Div 2

Blimby (7) 152
----------------
Turkey (3) 142
Matthew The Gooner (10) 140
Mrs Haddock (9) 140
Sully (5) 135
Early (3) 130
Gong (6) 120
Norton (5) 96
Uwinsc (4) 87
Andy (4) 78

Blimby stretches his lead at the top of Div 2, with Mrs Haddock dropping a place despite '2nd-top-scoring' her way closer to the top spot. That's because Matthew The Gooner outscored her with a div's best 10 to close into the fray.

Re: Season 2014-15

Week 19

17th-18th Jan '15 Fixtures

Div 1

Wilts (9) 160
Haddock (8) 155
Cheshire (10) 141
Midland (9) 136
Ian (12) 133
McGetta (6) 127
Wills (6) 126
Elmer (6) 124
-----------------
Braders (6) 112

Not much to report from a formulaic week except Ian's top-scoring 12 takes him up a place.

Div 2

Blimby (13) 165
----------------
Matthew the Gooner (12) 152
Mrs Haddock (10) 150
Turkey (3) 145
Sully (7) 142
Early (6) 136
Gong (5) 125
Norton (9) 105
Uwinsc (4) 91
Andy (5) 83

Blimby has extended his lead by a couple of points following his top-scoring tally of 13, while Turkey drops two places after a second successive tally of just 3 paultry points!!!

Beneficiaries are Matthew and Mrs Haddock who both rose a place following double-figure scores. Norton had a good week with 9.

******The following week was The FA Cup so the above table updated things prior to the weekend fixtures of 31st Jan / 1st Feb.

Details for that weekend will follow......

Re: Season 2014-15

Week 20

31st Jan / 1st Feb '15 Fixtures

Div 1

Wilts (13) 173
Haddock (7) 162
Cheshire (11) 152
Midland (14) 150
Ian (7) 140
McGetta (10) 137
Wills (5) 131
Elmer (5) 129
-----------------
Braders (8) 120

A great week for Wilts, who extends his lead by 6 points to 11. A great week also for Chesh who gains on Haddock for a third week in a row (9 point swing over that period), but top mover is Mids, who's highest-scoring 14 pushes him strongly on towards a challenge.

Braders will also be happy to have made up ground in the battle to avoid the drop.

Div 2

Blimby (6) 171
----------------
Matthew the Gooner (9) 161
Mrs Haddock (9) 159
Turkey (7) 152
Sully (6) 148
Early (4) 140
Gong (5) 130
Norton (4) 109
Uwinsc (2) 93
Andy (5) 88

Matthew and Mrs H gained ground on the coveted top spot in their bid to join the elite, while Turkey steadied the ship after a bad run. He'll need to step on in earnest if he wants to challenge though. Meantime Andy continues his VERY GRADUAL chase to catch Uwinsc and co.

Re: Season 2014-15

Apologies for the delay updating. Below are the results for the weekend of 7th / 8th Feb. The results for the full programme of games that took place in the midweek immediately after that weekend will be added shortly.

N.B the weekend after those games (14th / 15th Feb) doesn't count towards the table as that was a cup weekend.

Week 21

7th Feb / 8th Feb '15 Fixtures

Div 1

Wilts (4) 177
Haddock (14) 176
Cheshire (5) 157
Midland (5) 155
Ian (6) 146
McGetta (8) 145
Wills (9) 140
Elmer (2) 131
-----------------
Braders (2) 122

So there was, unusually, absolutely no change in the table order this week. Most notable was easily the biggest scorer Haddock obliterating the big gap to leader Wilts. His 10 point gain leaves him tantalisingly just one off top.

Meantime it was a terrible week for the divisions bottom two. It's as if they WANT to go down!!!! emoticon

Div 2

Blimby (8) 179
-----------------
Mrs Haddock (8) 167
Matthew the Gooner (6) 167
Turkey (7) 159
Sully (6) 154
Early (9) 149
Gong (8) 138
Norton (7) 116
Uwinsc (7) 100
Andy (6) 94

Top scorer in Div 2 this week was mid-table Early (9). The only person to rise a place however was Mrs Haddock, who out-scored 2nd-placed Matthew to step up her campaign for glory. She couldn't close the gap on "ever-steady" leader Blimby though!

Re: Season 2014-15

Week 22

10th Feb / 11th Feb '15 Fixtures (midweek)

Div 1

Haddock (12) 188
Wilts (10) 187
Cheshire (9) 166
Midland (6) 161
Ian (9) 155
McGetta (9) 154
Wills (10) 150
Elmer (7) 138
-----------------
Braders (11) 133

Haddock has reached the summit with another chart-topping performance (12) to oust Wilts from his perch. (GET IN!!!!) emoticon emoticon

It's looking as if it could develop into a two-horse race with both the front runners out-scoring Chesh and co to extend their advantage.

Wills scored necessarily well to keep the wolf aka Braders from the door but Elmer has slipped closer to trouble.

Div 2

Blimby (8) 187
-----------------
Matthew The Gooner (9) 176
Mrs Haddock (7) 174
Sully (16) 170
Turkey (9) 168
Early (12) 161
Gong (8) 146
Norton (9) 125
Uwinsc (9) 109
Andy (11) 105

Matthew has regained 2nd place from Mrs Haddock, but undoubtedly the 'headline-grabber' is Sully and his stunning 16-point haul. He's now right in the hunt.

Early had a good week (12) while Norton and Uwinsc seem to be developing a partnership, matching scores for a second successive time. Although they scored solidly, they couldn't prevent late-starter Andy gaining ground with a decent 11.

Re: Season 2014-15

Week 23

21st Feb / 22nd Feb '15 Fixtures

Div 1

Haddock (13) 201
Wilts (7) 194
Cheshire (8) 174
Midland (10) 171
Wills (17) 167
McGetta (12) 166
Ian (9) 164
Elmer (10) 148
-----------------
Braders (10) 143

Haddock extends his lead with what looked like being a top-scoring tally of 13.

However, Wills took the honours with a magnificent best-of-the-season 17 to rocket away from that lurking trap door. He overtakes McGetta who in turn overtakes Ian.

At the moment it's looking like a straight battle between Elmer and Braders to avoid the drop.

Div 2

Blimby (8) 195
------------------
Mrs Haddock (9) 183
Matthew The Gooner (7) 183
Turkey (12) 180
Sully (9) 179
Early (13) 174
Gong (13) 159
Norton (4) 129
Uwinsc (15) 124
Andy (13) 118

Mrs H goes back ahead of Matthew and Turkey squeezes back ahead of Sully in the jostling for positions in the chasing pack.

Meantime, stragglers Early and Gong both burst back into life with commanding scores of [sign in to see URL] be that sing-song in the North concourse post-match Saturday that livened them back up!!!!

The bottom two both scored very well, so Norton's paultry score of 4 plummets her very close to that dastardly wooden spoon.

The grand finale is starting to come into view on that distant horizon!
