I'm a bit confused, Arsenal scored 3 this week didn't they? So shouldn't that be 5?

Or does it not count because it was randomly put back to a Tuesday in the premier fixtures?

Hi Blimby,

Yes it's the weekend game the team plays that counts so in this case Arsenal's 90min result vs Wigan (1 goal). Posh also scored 1 and Dale and Suarez drew blanks.

(Most cup weekends are blank but semi-final day counts.)

Re: Season 2013-14

Week 30 (weekend of 19th / 20th April '14)

Div 1

Sharon (6) 189
Ian (4) 162
Wilts (4) 160
Elmer (6) 158
Cheshire (6) 155
Braders (2) 152
Haddock (7) 149
Midland (11) 146
McGetta (6) 146
Dave (2) 146
----------------
Gong (5) 140
Blimby (4) 113

What a disaster for Dave!!!!! Safe all season, he has chosen this week to post his joint-lowest score and dropped THREE places towards the quicksand into the bargain. He is now in grave danger of dropping out of the top flight for the first time. Haddock, top-scoring Midland and McGetta all overtook while Gong is now just 6 behind him.

Div 2

The Cloak (11) 181
Al (7) 180
Wills (4) 179
-------------------
Andy (6) 174
Mrs Haddock (5) 172
Uwinsc (5) 167
Matthew The Gooner (12) 161
Early (7) 158
Norton (6) 152
Mrs Wills (8) 151
Locky (3) 145
Gina (6) 141
Turkey (5) 136
Gus The Puppy (11) 135
Goughie (4) 109
Quadrant (1) 108

All change again as The Cloak overtakes Al as he overtakes Wills. Andy, Mrs Haddock and possibly Uwinsc (in her debut season) are all still in contention for promotion in a really tight race.

Best scorer in either division, though, was mid-table-Matthew with his 12-point-haul.

Just two weeks remaining - who will rise and fall???!!!

NB Just to re-clarify for anyone confused, the first matches by each club during the Easter weekend are the ones that count, so the second batch of FL games didn't count.

Also I see Quadrant is making a late bid for The Wooden Spoon.

Re: Season 2013-14

Week 31 (weekend of 26th / 27th April '14)

Div 1

Sharon (7) 196
Ian (8) 170
Wilts (7) 167
Elmer (5) 163
Cheshire (5) 160
Braders (6) 158
Haddock (7) 156
Dave (7) 153
McGetta (6) 152
Midland (5) 151
----------------
Gong (5) 145
Blimby (9) 122

So Sharon starts necking the champers with the title well and truly wrapped up.

At the grisly end Haddock looks safe now barring a mathematical miracle and Dave, McGetta and Midders must all be confident to varying degrees about their prospects of staying ahead of the doomed-looking Gong. Surely the big man won't pull off another relepation(sic) great escape now??? The days of reckoning await this weekend!

Special shout to Blimby who has outscored everyone in the top flight this week. A valiant campaign waged after an extremely late entry.

Div 2

Wills (7) 186
Al (5) 185
The Cloak (4) 185
-------------------
Andy (6) 180
Mrs Haddock (5) 177
Uwinsc (5) 172
Matthew The Gooner (6) 167
Early (8) 166
Mrs Wills (5) 156
Locky (10) 155
Norton (3) 155
Gina (3) 144
Turkey (7) 143
Gus The Puppy (5) 140
Quadrant (8) 116
Goughie (3) 112

All change yet again in a desperately tight promotion scramble. Could Andy or even Mrs Haddock squeeze into the shake-up? It looks like the rest are now also-rans. A great week for lowly Quadders puts Goughie rock bottom going into the final week.

Special mention to week's best mover Locky (with 10) :burns:
