Re: Season 2013-14

Week 16 BOXING DAY (26th Dec)

Div 1

Sharon (5) 118
Ian (9) 95
Wilts (5) 83
Braders (5) 82
Cheshire (6) 81
Dave (7) 80
Elmer (4) 77
Haddock (4) 73
Gong (2) 73
McGetta (7) 69
-----------------
Midland (3) 59
Blimby (8) 49

Dave and Haddock both moved up a place and Sharon had her rather commanding lead cut by 4, courtesy of Ian's division's best tally (9).

Meanwhile Blimby's great escape bid continues apace.

Div 2

The Cloak (5) 109
Al (9) 105
Uwinsc (3) 102
----------------
Andy (7) 101
Wills (4) 100
Mrs Haddock (6) 99
Matthew The Gooner (9) 90
Locky (5) 89
Gina (10) 80
Mrs Wills (6) 80
Turkey (8) 79
Early (2) 75
Norton (4) 74
Gus the Puppy (4) 70
Quadrant (6) 56
Goughie (2) 54

So Al's up to second, Andy's up to fourth and Matthew and top-scorer Gina are the other big movers.

Quadders has dropped Goughie to the bottom of the pile.

Re: Season 2013-14

Week 17 (28th / 29th Dec)

Div 1

Sharon (3) 121
Ian (2) 97
Braders (4) 86
Dave (5) 85
Wilts (2) 85
Cheshire (3) 84
Elmer (3) 80
Haddock (3) 76
Gong (1) 74
McGetta (2) 71
-----------------
Midland (7) 66
Blimby (3) 52

Wilts slips a couple of places, Gong and McGetta are sliding towards stormy waters after very low scores, coupled with Midland's 7 (division's best).

Meantime Elmer finally breaks his cycle of 4's that has lasted for 5 consecutive weeks (and 7 out of 8!!!!) with a towering.............er..........3.

Div 2

The Cloak (2) 111
Al (4) 109
Mrs Haddock (4) 103
-------------------
Andy (2) 103
Uwinsc (1) 103
Wills (2) 102
Matthew The Gooner (2) 92
Locky (2) 91
Mrs Wills (4) 84
Gina (3) 83
Turkey (1) 80
Norton (3) 77
Early (2) 77
Gus the Puppy (6) 76
Goughie (5) 59
Quadrant (3) 59

Al closes the gap on the top, Mrs Haddock is in the promotion positions for the first time this season and Quadders has crashed back to the foot of the table rather unluckily, considering his 3 wasn't a bad tally in this stingy week.

Re: Season 2013-14

Week 18 NEW YEAR'S DAY FIXTURES (1st Jan '14)

Div 1

Sharon (4) 125
Ian (1) 98
Braders (6) 92
Dave (5) 90
Wilts (4) 89
Cheshire (3) 87
Elmer (6) 86
Haddock (5) 81
Gong (6) 80
McGetta (4) 75
-----------------
Midland (5) 71
Blimby (5) 57

Sharon stretched her lead back up to 27 points, while fast-rising Braders continued to gain on stuttering Ian.

Elmer scored his highest in 10 weeks (6), while at the bottom not much movement.

Div 2

The Cloak (7) 118
Al (6) 115
Mrs Haddock (6) 109
-------------------
Wills (6) 108
Andy (5) 108
Uwinsc (4) 107
Locky (4) 95
Matthew The Gooner (3) 95
Mrs Wills (5) 89
Gina (3) 86
Turkey (4) 84
Early (5) 82
Gus The Puppy (5) 81
Norton (4) 81
Goughie (4) 63
& Quadrant (4) 63

Cloaky, Al and Mrs H hold the key positions but it's bunching up tightly in the pack. It's still anyone's down to Norton imho.

Latest game (first post-transfer window) will be up shortly.

Re: Season 2013-14

Week 19 (weekend of 11th / 12th Jan '14)

Div 1

Sharon (6) 131
Ian (6) 104
Wilts (8) 97
Elmer (9) 95
Braders (3) 95
Cheshire (7) 94
Dave (4) 94
Gong (8) 88
Haddock (7) 88
McGetta (7) 82
-----------------
Midland (10) 81
Blimby (8) 65

So some transfers have made a difference in what was to be a high scoring week anyway, following the break for the FA Cup last weekend.

Not much change in status right at the top but Elmer has returned to form and zipped up three places to fourth.

Some big scores in the lower reaches, with top-scorer Midders making up significant ground on potential relegation rivals. Blimby kept up his ambitious campaign but was only able to make up one point on his target opponents.

Div 2

The Cloak (5) 123
Al (4) 119
Mrs Haddock (8) 117
-------------------
Wills (8) 116
Uwinsc (6) 113
Andy (3) 111
Locky (4) 99
& Matthew The Gooner (4) 99
Mrs Wills (5) 94
Gina (7) 93
Norton (10) 91
Early (9) 91
Gus The Puppy (5) 86
Turkey (2) 86
Goughie (3) 66
& Quadrant (3) 66

A very interesting week in Div 2 with Mrs Haddock strengthening her campaign....trouble is Wills matched her 8 to stay right in the mix too.

A great week for Maria, who's highest-of-the-week 10 propelled her up three places to make a trio of "mid-table-ladies".

Early also bounced back from a poor week on NYD.

The above scores include all transfers made prior to the weekend's action. The transfer window remains open until midnight tonight (Tues evening) for anyone wishing to adjust their line-ups.

Re: Season 2013-14

Week 20 (weekend of 18th / 19th Jan '14)

Div 1

Sharon (7) 138
Ian (4) 108
Braders (11) 106
Wilts (9) 106
Elmer (10) 105
Dave (10) 104
Cheshire (6) 100
Gong (8) 96
Haddock (6) 94
McGetta (5) 87
-----------------
Midland (4) 85
Blimby (8) 73

Sharon gains another three points to her lead in a high scoring week with many returning to form.

Div 2

The Cloak (6) 129
Wills (9) 125
Al (6) 125
-----------------
Uwinsc (11) 124
Mrs Haddock (6) 123
Andy (8) 119
Locky (12) 111
Matthew The Gooner (3) 102
Early (7) 98
Mrs Wills (3) 97
Gina (2) 95
Norton (2) 93
Turkey (6) 92
Gus The Puppy (2) 88
Goughie (5) 71
Quadrant (4) 70

Early managed to go up 4 places despite a "middle-of-the-road" 7. Wills races back up into 'the zone' and 2nd after a solid 9.

One to watch: Locky, who scored the highest in any division thanks in the main part to his Reading selection from August....bet he doesn't even remember entering!!!!!

Re: Season 2013-14

I would be out of the bottom 2 in Division 2. I feel quietly confident of my immediate promotion last year... emoticon

Re: Season 2013-14

Week 21 (weekend of 1st / 2nd Feb '14)

Div 1

Sharon (6) 144
Ian (5) 113
Braders (6) 112
Elmer (4) 109
Wilts (3) 109
Dave (4) 108
Gong (6) 102
Cheshire (1) 101
Haddock (4) 98
McGetta (4) 91
-----------------
Midland (5) 90
Blimby (2) 75

Sharon made another slight increase in her towering lead....time is fast running out for any pretenders to the throne.

Gong has put another player (Chesh) between him and the drop, with Haddock also making up ground, although Midland is the other main winner this week, halving the deficit to target McGetta down to just one point.

Meantime a set-back in Blimby's Great Escape campaign

Div 2

The Cloak (3) 132
Al (4) 129
Uwinsc (4) 128
-----------------
Wills (3) 128
Mrs Haddock (2) 125
Andy (2) 121
Locky (6) 117
Matthew The Gooner (7) 109
Early (4) 102
Mrs Wills (4) 101
Gina (3) 98
Norton (3) 96
Turkey (3) 95
Gus The Puppy (4) 92
Quadrant (6) 76
Goughie (3) 74

Al and Uwinsc has pushed Wills back outside the door while we have to look further down the food chain for the next good-movers Locky and top-scorer Matthew.

A good week also for basement-boy Quadrant who's excavated himself from subterranean anonymity into the grand heights of second-bottom.

Re: Season 2013-14

Week 22 (weekend of 8th / 9th Feb '14)

Div 1

Sharon (3) 147
Ian (6) 119
Braders (6) 118
Dave (7) 115
Elmer (2) 111
&Wilts (2) 111
Gong (2) 104
Cheshire (2) 103
Haddock (1) 99
McGetta (3) 94
-----------------
Midland (1) 91
Blimby (6) 81

Ian and Braders gain ground on the lead, but there's a lot still to make up if they are going to pull off a miracle! Top-scoring Dave (7) jumps 2 to 4th and puts himself in the chasing pack.

In a poor-scoring week Blimby has made a killing (especially thanks to Rochdale's good form in L2), gaining 5 points on Midland and 3 on target McGetta. Could Blimby REALLY pull off this great escape??? (Haddock is also looking vulnerable after a poor week.)

Div 2

Al (3) 132
The Cloak (0) 132
Wills (2) 130
-----------------
Uwinsc (1) 129
Mrs Haddock (2) 127
Andy (3) 124
Locky (4) 121
Matthew The Gooner (4) 113
Mrs Wills (5) 106
Early (2) 104
Norton (6) 102
Gina (4) 102
Turkey (5) 100
Gus The Puppy (3) 95
Quadrant (6) 82
Goughie (5) 79

The Cloak drew a unique blank to relinquish the lead to Al. There's little else to say in a poor week except it was a great week for Quadders (again) and Norts who scored 6 apiece.
