Season 2012-13

The opening standings:

Div 1

Sharon 6
Cheshire 5
Keef 5
Andy 4
McGetta 4
Dave 3
Gong 2
Wilts 2

Div 2

Haddock (000 yeah!) 8
Wills 7
Mrs Haddock (boo!) 7
Bungaloosh 6
Early 5
Ian 4
Matthew The Gooner 4
Braders 3
Pitbull 3
Turkey 3
Mrs Wills 2
Midland 1
Gina 1
Quadrant 1

Still waiting for a few of last year's to enter late (Locky, Mrs Locky, Blimby, SDU, Al, Norton etc).

These players are able to register any time between now and Dec 31st. Obviously there will be no back-dating of results.

Should no-one / hardly anyone from Div 1 re-enter I may have to revise the promo / rele' arrangements, which currently stand at 2 down, 4 up.

Respect due for that admission.

Re: Season 2012-13

Week 2

Div 1

Keef (6) 11
Sharon (4) 10
Andy (5) 9
& McGetta (5) 9
Cheshire (4) 9
Gong (6) 8
Dave (5) 8
Wilts (4) 6
Blimby (2) 2*

*missed Week 1 and Eagles goal scored following Friday BEFORE entry submitted so no point for that one.

Div 2

Haddock (10) 18
Turkey (10) 13
Ian (8) 12
Wills (5) 12
& Mrs Haddock (5) 12
Mrs Wills (9) 11
Braders (8) 11
& Pitbull (8) 11
Early (6) 11
Bungaloosh (5) 11
Matthew The Gooner (6) 10
Quadrant (7) 8
Midland (5) 6
Gina (2) 3
Norton -

Norton entered but yet to start

So Haddock makes a stunning start with another best scoring week (shared with Turkey this [sign in to see URL] thanks largely to Blackpool's annihilation of Ipswich on Saturday).

The ten scored by the pair is the early benchmark for "Week's Best" scoring.

Haven't finalised relegation / promotion yet (til final numbers known) but am considering 1 down and 4 up at the moment. Details to follow.

Re: Season 2012-13

Week 3

Div 1

Andy (15) 24
Keef (8) 19
McGetta (9) 18
Sharon (8) 18
Dave (8) 16
Gong (7) 15
Cheshire (5) 14
Blimby (8) 10
Wilts (3) 9

So Andy scores a stunning new season's best weekly high (15) to soar to the top of the table. He now a clear 5 points ahead of last week's summiteer Keefy.

Div 2

Haddock (7) 25
Ian (11) 23
Early (11) 22
Turkey (8) 21
Braders (9) 20
Matthew The Gooner (9) 19
Mrs Wills (8) 19
Wills (7) 19
Pitbull (7) 18
Mrs Haddock (6) 18
Quadrant (9) 17
Bungaloosh (5) 16
Midland (9) 15
Gina (7) 10
Norton (6) 6

So a lot of jostling for positions in this tightly packed early scrabble. Haddock still holds the lead with Turkey clawing back a point on him, but were overtaken by the best movers of the weekend: 11 pointers Ian and Early, who raced up to 2nd and 3rd respectively.

We have our first intermission already due to the internationals / qualifiers, so next up w/end of 14th/15th/16th/17th.

Re: Season 2012-13

Week 4

Div 1

Keef (8) 27
Andy (3) 27
Gong (7) 22
McGetta (4) 22
& Sharon (4) 22
Dave (5) 21
Blimby (9) 19
Cheshire (4) 18
-------------------
Wilts (4) 13

So we have a new leader as Keef notches another 8 points (same as last week) but highest scorer was Blimby, who is fast rising after entering a week late! He's my bookie's favourite for the title!....maybe Honest Early could run a book on it?! emoticon

Div 2

Haddock (4) 29
Turkey (7) 28
Ian (5) 28
Pitbull (9) 27
-----------------
Early (5) 27
Matthew The Gooner (5) 24
& Mrs Wills (5) 24
Braders (4) 24
Mrs Haddock (5) 23
Midland (7) 22
Quadrant (5) 22
Wills (2) 21
Bungaloosh (3) 19
Gina (7) 17
Norton (5) 11

So SOMEHOW Haddock has managed to hold onto top spot despite a piffling tally of [sign in to see URL]'t any of you lot WANT to win?!

Easily the best movers (though almost certainly NOT on the dancefloor) are Turkey, who rises right up to 2nd and top-scorer Pitbull, who bagged an impressive 9 AND a promotion spot.

Wills was also a big [sign in to see URL] it was in the wrong direction! He looks like a genuine challenger-in-the-making for Norton's wooden spoon (which you'll notice she is already brandishing)!

Also you may have noticed that I've added the promotion and relegation bars to the tables to signify how things will work. As with last year I am seeking to equalise the numbers between the divisions for next season.

Re: Season 2012-13

Week 5

Div 1

Keef (5) 32
Andy (3) 30
Dave (8) 29
Sharon (7) 29
Gong (6) 28
Cheshire (8) 26
McGetta (4) 26
Blimby (5) 24
-------------------
Wilts (7) 20

No change at the top but Dave and Sharon rise to 3rd and 4th respectively.

It's early days but the division looks VERY tight, with Wilts even closing up the [sign in to see URL] er!

Div 2

Turkey (4) 32
& Ian (4) 32
Early (4) 31
Haddock (2) 31
---------------------
Pitbull (3) 30
Matthew The Gooner (4) 28
& Mrs Wills (4) 28
& Braders (4) 28
Midland (5) 27
& Quadrant (5) 27
Mrs Haddock (4) 27
Wills (2) 23
Bungaloosh (3) 22
Gina (3) 20
Norton (4) 15

An embarrassingly low-scoring week for the division 2'ers with Midland and Quadrant top scoring on just 5 each (haha Mrs Haddock who slips two places despite a score of 4!).

Main news is Haddock took a battering, slipping three places to [sign in to see URL] first week away from the top spot

Wills continues to slide with the same tally of 2.

Week 6

Div 1

Keef (7) 39
Sharon (7) 36
Andy (5) 35
Gong (6) 34
Dave (4) 33
Cheshire (5) 31
Blimby (5) 29
McGetta (3) 29
-------------------
Wilts (4) 24

Keef firms up his lead, Sharon rises to second.

Div 2

Haddock (8) 39
Early (6) 37
Pitbull (5) 35
---Turkey (3) 35
& Ian (3) 35
---Mrs Haddock (5) 32
Matthew The Gooner (4) 32
& Braders (4) 32
Midland (4) 31
Mrs Wills (2) 30
Wills (6) 29
Quadrant (2) 29
Bungaloosh (4) 26
Gina (5) 25
Norton (7) 22

So another very eventful day in Div 2.

Haddock regains the lead he arrogantly considers his own after only his first week off top (top scoring - both divs - along the way with 8).

Early also had a good week, rising to second, with Wills steadying the Good Ship Gollum at the scary end of the table.

However, special note goes to Norton, who got the second best tally of 7, keeping her in touch with Planet Earth.

It's all far too early to make predictions with the endless jostling for positions up and down the div continuing.
