Re: The 2011-12 Season Standings

Week 11 (5th / 6th Nov '11)

Div 1

McGetta (6) 88
Cheshire (6) 78
& Locky (6) 78
Dave (5) 78
Blimby (7) 76
SDU (3) 72
Wilts (4) 66
Ian (2) 65
----------------
Gong (5) 56
Wills (2) 44

McGetta still leads the way in Div 1. a solid 6 sees him maintain a steady course.

Chesh and Locky both squeezed past 2nd place Dave on the week's better score rule. They are tightly bound together in what for now at least is an intriguing battle for the runners-up berth.

Blimby was the best scorer with 7, further clustering up the upper-mid-table positions.

Meantime Gong made up ground on Ian in the battle to avoid the drop, but it is already looking VERY bleak for Woeful Wills - cast adrift by 12 points at the bottom and a staggering 21 from safety!

Div 2

Andy (7) 87
Al (4) 82
Eric (4) 81
Sharon (9) 78
-----------------------
Mrs Haddock (4) 68
Haddock (4) 65
Mrs Midland (6) 64
Matthew The Gooner (7) 63
Turkey (4) 62
Midland (4) 60
Early (4) 57
TFMrsWills (7) 51
Braders (2) 49
Mrs Locky (8) 46
Norton (2) 46

So little change in Div 2 with loads of people scoring 4!

Andy improved his lead at the summit while Sharon improved her's over the chasing promotion pack with the week's best total of 9. This spells trouble for poor Haddock as he tries to bounce straight back up at the first attempt from the basement division. :verysad:

Matthew's troubles look over as he has firmly ensconced himself in mid-table after another decent week. He's now nearer to the promotion places than the foot of the table.

Speaking of which, Norton has found all too familiar ground again with another terrible week (scoring just 2 for Albion's brace).

Mrs Locky made sure it costs her with an excellent 8, while fellow struggler TFMrsWills - COME ON LADIES!!! - also scored well with 7 to stay out of trouble.

Is that the faint sound of a one pence piece gently spinning itself flat? emoticon :kissy:

Re: The 2011-12 Season Standings

Week 12 (19th / 20th Nov '11)

Div 1

McGetta (6) 94
Blimby (13) 89
Cheshire (8) 86
& Dave (8) 86
Locky (5) 83
SDU (7) 79
Ian (8) 73
Wilts (3) 69
----------------
Gong (5) 61
Wills (6) 50

McGetta's lead has been cut, primarily by Blimby, who's personal best of 13 towered above all others (next best hauls were 8) this week. He moves up three places into second.

Not much else to call except to say Wilts' continued poor form is threatening his safety.

Div 2

Andy (6) 93
Al (8) 90
Eric (6) 87
Sharon (5) 83
-----------------------
Mrs Haddock (5) 73
Mrs Midland (7) 71
Haddock (5) 70
Matthew The Gooner (6) 69
Midand (7) 67
Turkey (4) 66
Early (5) 62
Braders (5) 54
TFMrsWills (3) 54
Mrs Locky (2) 48
& Norton (2) 48

So Al is narrowing in on Andy's leadership while maintaining his good position in the promotion frame.

Mrs Midders has overtaken me as she looks to close in on the top 4....while the other ladies (apart from Mrs Haddock) are letting themselves down badly! Another miserable week for each of the bottom three.

Next week's updates will have to wait til Friday as I'm away for a few days until then.

Re: The 2011-12 Season Standings

Week 13 (26th / 27th Nov '11)

Div 1

McGetta (1) 95
Blimby (4) 93
Dave (4) 90
Cheshire (3) 89
Locky (3) 86
SDU (1) 80
Ian (3) 76
Wilts (4) 73
----------------
Gong (6) 67
Wills (4) 54

Dave sneaked up a place to 3rd, while leader McGetta had a particularly awful week, scoring just 1, with his lead now cut.

Scoring overall was poor with only Gong coming away with any real credit, scoring the division's best (6) to ease his troubles.

Div 2

Andy (5) 98
Al (2) 92
Eric (4) 91
Sharon (6) 89
-----------------------
Mrs Haddock (5) 78
Haddock (5) 75
Mrs Midland (3) 74
Matthew The Gooner (4) 73
Midland (4) 71
Early (7) 69
Turkey (2) 68
Braders (8) 62
TFMrsWills (6) 60
Norton (5) 53
Mrs Locky (3) 51

So Andy stretched his lead at the top, Sharon slightly extended her advantage over the chasing pack, Haddock regained 6th from Mrs Midders and the 'usual two' swapped places...as usual!...at the bottom.

Best scores for the division and indeed overall came from lower-mid-tablers Braders (8) and Early (7).

Next up, the December programme, starting tomorrow.

Re: The 2011-12 Season Standings

With a full scheduled programme this weekend, scores DID count. Here are the latest standings...

Week 14 (3rd / 4th Dec '11)

Div 1

Dave (13) 103
Blimby (8) 101
Cheshire (9) 98
McGetta (1) 96
Locky (7) 93
Ian (5) 81
SDU (1) 81
Wilts (5) 78
----------------
Gong (4) 71
Wills (2) 56

Dave takes the headlines this week. His (easily) best of the week 13 took him right up to the top, overtaking Blimby just as he was poised to grab the glory of leading the table and breaking the 100 mark first!

All this is disasterous news for luckless McGetta, who scores only 1 point for the second week in a row! It's not all over by any means...he's just 7 off top, but the game is now much tighter with serious players in contention for the crown.

It's looking a huge task for Wills now...a towering 22 points away from Wilts' safety marker of 78.

Div 2

Andy (8) 106
Al (6) 98
Sharon (8) 97
Eric (3) 94
-----------------------
Matthew The Gooner (9) 82
Haddock (7) 82
Mrs Haddock (4) 82
Mrs Midland (6) 80
Early (9) 78
Turkey (7) 75
Midland (4) 75
Braders (4) 66
TFMrsWills (5) 65
Norton (1) 54
Mrs Locky (1) 52

Not much change in the shape of Div 2 but Andy has become the first past the 100 post, with the 'country's best total so far' (106) and Matthew The Gooner is the new leader of the chasing pack after a healthy score of 9 - the division's best...shared with Early. A great turnaround for Matthew following a meaningful relationship with rock bottom!

The transfer window looms next month, details of dates will follow shortly.

Re: The 2011-12 Season Standings

Week 15 (10th / 11th Dec '11)

Div 1

Dave (7) 110
Cheshire (10) 108
McGetta (8) 104
Blimby (2) 103
Locky (1) 94
Wilts (10) 88
Ian (5) 86
SDU (4) 85
----------------
Gong (8) 79
Wills (3) 59

Dave holds top spot for a second week, Chesh is back up to second, McGetta also rises while Blimby and Locky both had 'mares!!!

Gong had a decent week, closing in on the safety spots quite a bit and with Wilts notching a handsome 10, it's Ian and SDU who are now nervously looking over their shoulders. Things look ever bleaker for sorry Wills...another feeble tally of just 3 leaves him desperate! emoticon

Div 2

Andy (10) 116
Sharon (5) 102
Al (3) 101
Eric (4) 98
-----------------------
Mrs Midland (11) 91
Mrs Haddock (9) 91
Haddock (8) 90
Matthew The Gooner (6) 88
Early (5) 83
Midland (2) 77
Turkey (1) 76
Braders (4) 70
TFMrsWills (3) 68
Norton (3) 57
Mrs Locky (1) 53

Andy has now stretched his lead to a commanding 14 points (and 25 from the dividing line!) with a tally this week of 10, bettered only by Mrs Midders who outgunned The Haddocks in the fight for promotion scraps...Haddock's sister Sharon though continues to grow into her role as a promotion candidate, rising another place to 2nd.

Midland bizarrely managed to go up a place despite scoring a pathetic 2....out-flopped by Turkey! and there were precious few points accrued amongst the usual strugglers.
