Re: Latest Standings - 2010-2011

Week 27 - 2nd & 3rd April 2011

Div 1

Ian (11) 148
Cheshire (15) 142
Wills (8) 129
Locky (3) 128
Munkeyboy (4) 126
& Dave (4) 126
Rochdale (5) 123
Gong (0) 123
Wilts (6) 122
Blimby (2) 122
-----------------------
Haddock (3) 117
Early (7) 113

So Ian has held his lead (a commanding 10 points last week) but despite scoring an impressive 11, Chesh has still clawed him back after a stunning best of the season tally of 15 (FIFTEEN!)...beating Gong's previous effort of 13 from right back in Week 2!!!

There's now a big gap to 3rd and that position is occupied by a new challenger - Wills - who rose 4 places to throw his hat in the ring.

In complete contrast, Gong is dropping like a Micky Adams team with a resoundingly crap total of 0 this week!

Elsewhere, Munkeyboy and Dave are still locked on points in mid-table (rising a place each this week), while Blimby is nearest the trap door now after a bad week.

My inept form this half of season continues with Early closing in to rub salt in the wounds!

Div 2

McGetta (15) 137
Eric Cornflake (10) 136
----------------------------------
Midland (9) 134
SDU (7) 131
The Future Mrs Wills (6) 128
Sharon (8) 126
Braders (6) 121
Andy (4) 121
Turkey (6) 113
Norton (6) 108
Mrs Haddock (2) 108

A strong week from all the leading pack but despite a good week for the leading two, McGetta has shot up three places to the peak with a stunning 15!...equalling Chesh's total in Div [sign in to see URL] to both on best weekly totals of the season!!!

This means Midders unluckily slips out of the promotion places .

Meantime another bad week for Mrs Haddock as she slips back to rock bottom emoticon ...er, I mean :verysad:

Re: Latest Standings - 2010-2011

Week 28 - 9th & 10th April 2011

Div 1

Ian (6) 154
Cheshire (5) 147
Locky (8) 136
Munkeyboy (6) 132
Wills (3) 132
Dave (4) 130
Rochdale (6) 129
Blimby (6) 128
Gong (4) 127
Wilts (4) 126
-----------------------
Haddock (6) 123
Early (5) 118

So little change at the top, with Wills dropping back a couple of places.

Blimby bounced back reasonably well to leave Gong yet another place closer to the [sign in to see URL] 4 away from improving Haddock! A ropey week for Wilts too!

Div 2

Eric Cornflake (6) 142
McGetta (5) 142
----------------------------------
Midland (5) 139
SDU (7) 138
The Future Mrs Wills (5) 133
Braders (9) 130
Sharon (1) 127
Andy (4) 125
Turkey (4) 117
Mrs Haddock (6) 114
Norton (5) 113

McGetta's brief and fragile lead at the top after a stunning week last time out has been taken [sign in to see URL]! Eric out-scored him by one point to re-take the lead on the week's best rule.

SDU scored highest amongst the leading pack to tighten things up even more.

Sharon's dreams of promotion are all but over after a terrible week, while Mrs Haddock has pulled Maria back to the bottom again in a right ole tussle to avoid the wooden spoon.

Re: Latest Standings - 2010-2011

Week 29 - 16th & 17th April 2011

Div 1

Ian (3) 157
Cheshire (2) 149
Locky (5) 141
Munkeyboy (7) 139
Rochdale (5) 134
Dave (4) 134
Wills (1) 133
Wilts (6) 132
Blimby (3) 131
Gong (2) 129
-----------------------
Haddock (2) 125
Early (3) 121

A pretty boring week, with Locky and Munkeyboy closing the gap a bit.

Wills has slipped badly this week with just 1 point, leaving relegation a possibility.

On a generally very low-scoring week, Wilts did well with 6 to get some daylight from relegation but Gong is still in big [sign in to see URL] for him the bottom two are shoddy in the extreme!!!

Div 2

Eric Cornflake (5) 147
McGetta (2) 144
----------------------------------
SDU (4) 142
Midland (3) 142
The Future Mrs Wills (4) 137
Braders (5) 135
Andy (4) 129
Sharon (2) 129
Turkey (5) 122
Mrs Haddock (4) 118
Norton (4) 117

Eric has strengthened the lead he regained last week. The top 4 is getting really tight now as the quest for Div1 hots up.

Andy scores 4 for the 4th week in a row (at least he's consistent!) and Sharon's decline [sign in to see URL] it too late for the wooden spoon??!! Speaking of which, Mrs H has managed to hold off [sign in to see URL]!

I will update after this (Easter) weekend's fixtures are [sign in to see URL] Good Friday / Saturday FL matches count as one set of fixtures to be coupled with the wider spread PL fixtures. PLEASE NOTE THE EASTER MONDAY FL FIXTURES WILL NOT COUNT AS THERE IS NOT A CORRESPONDING PL SCHEDULE FOR THIS DATE

Re: Latest Standings - 2010-2011

Week 30 - 23rd & 24th April 2011

Div 1

Ian (3) 160
Cheshire (5) 154
Munkeyboy (7) 146
Locky (5) 146
Rochdale (8) 142
Dave (5) 139
Wilts (6) 138
Wills (5) 138
Blimby (5) 136
Gong (4) 133
-----------------------
Haddock (5) 130
Early (4) 125

Chesh is making a break for the top! Out-scoring Ian, he is now 6 off the lead.

A strongish week for Munkeyboy sees him go 3rd above Locky, while Roch top-scored to go [sign in to see URL] excellent first season up with the big boys!

A good week for Haddock (sort of!) after stretching a further point ahead of Early, while more importantly, closing in on Gong by the same amount.

Looks like it could go right to the wire!!!

Div 2

McGetta (5) 149
Eric Cornflake (2) 149
----------------------------------
SDU (5) 147
Midland (4) 146
The Future Mrs Wills (7) 144
Braders (8) 143
Andy (5) 134
Sharon (4) 133
Turkey (10) 132
Norton (5) 122
Mrs Haddock (4) 122

In Div 2 it's immensely close!

McGetta has squezzed back in front by the tightest of margins; SDU, Midders, 'Mrs' Wills and Braders have all closed [sign in to see URL] latter 2 making commendable late surges as 6 vye for 2 promotion [sign in to see URL] going to be an exciting finale!

Turkey had the division's ... and indeed both division's ... best score of 10, yet bizzarely it didn't afford him an improved ranking in the division following a number of unremarkable weeks prior.

And poor old Mrs Haddock is rock bottom once again!

Re: Latest Standings - 2010-2011

Gong and I share two teams, with the difference being Brentford for him and Saints for me!

Bees take on Saints this weekend, so I have split [sign in to see URL] want Saints to slip up for a laugh but need to survive the [sign in to see URL] payments to self just won't be enough!!!

So I guess I'll be needing a 1-5 Saints win!

Re: Latest Standings - 2010-2011

Week 31 - 30th April & 1st May 2011

Div 1

Ian (4) 164
Cheshire (5) 159
Munkeyboy (9) 155
Locky (8) 154
Rochdale (10) 152
Wills (7) 145
Wilts (6) 144
Dave (5) 144
Blimby (5) 141
Haddock (6) 136
------------------------
Gong (3) 136
Early (3) 128

So hardly any movement in the table on this crucial penultimate weekend, but one massive change is that Haddock has overtaken fellow former league leader Gong by the skin of his teeth!!! Can he hold off the big man in this desperate scrap amongst fallen giants emoticon

Early's fate looks sealed with another poor week and it would take a miracle now for him to overturn the 8 point gap to both the nearest opponents.

Wills has moved up a couple of places to mid-table meanwhile as he seeks to take some momentum into next season!

Div 2

SDU (7) 154
McGetta (5) 154
-----------------------------------
Eric Cornflake (3) 152
Midland (4) 150
Braders (6) 149
The Future Mrs Wills (4) 148
Turkey (8) 140
Andy (4) 138
Sharon (2) 135
Mrs Haddock (5) 127
Norton (4) 126

SDU bounces right back up, not only into the promotion positions but top!!! Now can he (and McGetta) hold on, with the chasing pack breathing down their necks! Braders has squeezed up the ranks as he continues his late bid for glory and Turkey has moved up two places after another impressive week.

And [sign in to see URL], Norton!...you've hit skid row again! It can't be tied at the bottom now due to different points totals now coupled with the better week's rule coming into play if you square the points up.

Who will walk the walk of shame on the way out of Meadow Lane this Saturday?! Both Norton and Mrs Haddock are making rare appearances at The Albion match.

If SDU and McGetta score the same on Saturday / Sunday, but are overtaken by one other, SDU will be promoted having the better form (projecting back 2 weeks)...seems fairest way unless both are around to play a tie-breaker. (Is McG' regularly reading this though?)

Same applies to Gong and [sign in to see URL]'m ahead on recent form so have the edge.
