Re: Latest Standings - 2010-2011

Well, McG, here's how that effects things....

Week 8 - 16th / 17th Oct

Div 1

Gong (8) 45
Munkeyboy (5) 45
Haddock (3) 45
Wilts (5) 44
Dave (3) 43
Blimby (9) 42
Locky (7) 40
Cheshire (4) 40
Rochdale (1) 40
Wills (6) 39
Ian (4) 37
Early (4) 28

Drat! And double drat!!! The Gong machine is in motion and has taken my seat at the summit after yet another piffling score of 3 for me and 8 for [sign in to see URL]'s steady scoring has him above me on the week's better score rule too emoticon emoticon emoticon

Plaudits also to Blimby's threatening 9 (best of the week) and Locky's 7. Things are really bunching up now in a close season so far.

Div 2

Andy (5) 47
Turkey (3) 44
Midland (7) 42
SDU (7) 40
McGetta (0) 39
Sharon (5) 38
Eric Cornflake (6) 36
The Mistress (3) 29
Braders (5) 27
Norton (7) 26
Mrs Haddock (3) 21

Andy stretches his lead, Midland and SDU (2 of 3 joint top scorers this week) are coming up hard on the rails oo er missus emoticon :norton:

Norton's blind faith in Brighton has finally born fruit after Albion's sensational and comprehensive thrashing of [sign in to see URL] is now in touch with the ...er... lesser strugglers, anyway as the week's other joint top scorer.

The less (I really mean MORE! emoticon) we say about my good lady wife's total the better.

Footnote: McGetta has lost valuable ground after his surprise [sign in to see URL] he hasn't drawn blanks before! emoticon

Re: Latest Standings - 2010-2011

Week 9 - 23th/24th Oct 10

Div 1

Gong (8) 53
Munkeyboy (6) 51
Haddock (5) 50
Dave (6) 49
Blimby (6) 48
Wilts (4) 48
Locky (7) 47
& Cheshire (7) 47
Rochdale (6) 46
Wills (5) 44
Ian (4) 41
Early (2) 30

Gong's clear leader now after out-scoring Munkeyboy. Locky and Chesh moved closer to the pack with 7's, while Early's deficit at the foot of the table has increased yet further!

Div 2

Andy (4) 51
Turkey (3) 47
SDU (6) 46
Midland (4) 46
McGetta (5) 44
Eric Cornflake (6) 42
Sharon (4) 42
The Mistress (4) 33
Braders (4) 31
Norton (4) 30
Mrs Haddock (4) 25

Not much change in Div 2 except SDU has squeezed into 3rd ahead of Midland and Eric shared that weekly best total to also climb a place.

(Apologies with delay posting up these results.)

Re: Latest Standings - 2010-2011

Week 10 - 30th/31st Oct 10

Div 1

Gong (5) 58
Munkeyboy (6) 57
Dave (7) 56
Cheshire (7) 54
Wilts (6) 54
Haddock (4) 54
Rochdale (6) 52
Locky (5) 52
Blimby (3) 51
Ian (9) 50
Wills (4) 48
Early (5) 35

So M'boy slightly slims Gong's lead back again but below that there were a number of overlapping changes. I've slipped 3 places as Dave moves into the title race, Chesh continues to shine and Roch is starting to stake a realistic claim.

A better 5 for basement boy Early but crushingly he's further adrift due to Ian's week's best 9, putting him back in touch with the pack.

Div 2

Andy (7) 58
Midland (7) 53
SDU (6) 52
Eric Cornflake (9) 51
Turkey (4) 51
McGetta (6) 50
Sharon (3) 45
The Mistress (7) 40
Braders (5) 36
Mrs Haddock (9) 34
Norton (4) 34

Andy stretches his lead back up by two points (would've been by three but for Midland's 7 point tally - taking him into 2nd place.

That is tough on SDU, who would have been 2nd with his continued good form (6 again)

And Turkey crashes 3 places to 5th due to Eric's highly impressive [sign in to see URL] highest scoring total shared with Mrs Haddock, who's surprise score is JUST enough to squeeze ahead of new wooden-spooner Norton in a generally quite high-scoring weekend.

The Accumulator now takes another of its occasional intermissions as attention switches to the FA Cup.

See you next week!

Yes you could pull off back to back successes, Roch.

Tranny window will be either Mon 3rd - Fri 7th January or Mon 10th - Fri 14th January. To be confirmed.

Re: Latest Standings - 2010-2011

Week 11 - 13th / 14th Nov

Div 1

Gong (4) 62
Dave (4) 60
Cheshire (5) 59
Blimby (7) 58
Munkeyboy (1) 58
Ian (7) 57
Locky (3) 55
Wilts (1) 55
Rochdale (2) 54
Haddock (0) 54
-----------------------
Wills (4) 52
Early (2) 37

So Blimby joint-top-scores with 7 to take him up no fewer than 6 places!!! Well done to him and fellow week's best Ian who also ascended impressively.

Mine and Chelsea's (in particular) bad form yet again has seen me plummet 4 places and almost into the relegation positions, which are now showing for the first time this season. Early's plight looks desperate!

And up top, Gong remains in the driver's seat

Div 2

Andy (3) 61
Midland (4) 57
-------------------
SDU (3) 55
Eric Cornflake (3) 54
McGetta (3) 53
Sharon (7) 52
Turkey (0) 51
The Mistress (6) 46
Braders (3) 39
Mrs Haddock (2) 36
& Norton (2) 36

So it was ladies' day in Div 2 with the best scores coming from Sharon (7) and The Mistress (6). No change at the top.

Re: Latest Standings - 2010-2011

Week 12 - 20th / 21st Nov

Div 1

Gong (5) 67
Cheshire (7) 66
Ian (7) 64
Blimby (6) 64
Dave (4) 64
Munkeyboy (4) 62
Wills (9) 61
Locky (6) 61
Rochdale (6) 60
Wilts (2) 57
----------------------
Haddock (2) 56
Early (8) 45

This week the headlines belong to Cheshire, Ian and Wills. The former two both scored 7 to close in on the lead, while Wills' 9 lifted him an impressive 4 places and plunged me into the relegation zone for the first time ever emoticon

But let's not forget Early, who released himself from weeks of low-scoring to scratch up an excellent 8, compounding my misery, as bottom spot starts looming up in the near distance. emoticon

Div 2

Andy (3) 64
SDU (6) 61
-------------------
Midland (4) 61
Sharon (8) 60
Eric Cornflake (5) 59
McGetta (5) 58
The Mistress (6) 52
Turkey (0) 51
Norton (8) 44
Braders (5) 44
Mrs Haddock (7) 43

So it's ladies day for the second successive week, with the top '3.5' scorers all from the fairer sex - 4th top scoring honours were jointly shared by The Mistress and SDU!

Sharon, who was joint top scorer, has closed in on the promotion places nicely, while Midland slipped down to 3rd, despite gaining on leader Andy. That was due to
SDU's better score.

Turkey's disasterous form (two successive blanks) leaves him further down the pecking order, with only the bottom three drifters below him.

Mrs Haddock is rather unlucky to slip down a place to rock-bottom with her 7 ( emoticon )

The next week (27th / 28th) was not a game week due to the Cup, but normal service resumes for next weekend's December opener.
