Re: 2009-10 Latest Standings

Week 22

Div 1

Locky (6) 117
Wills (10) 114
Haddock (4) 114
Cheshire (5) 112
Munkeyboy (4) 112
Gong (9) 111
Wilts (9) 111
Early (5) 111
Dave (9) 107
Ian (4) 107
Sussex (9) 106
-------------------------
Mrs Haddock (6) 102
Norton (5) 91
Eric Cornflake (6) 84

So a return to form for top-scoring Wills, putting him up FIVE places and into second, hot on the heels of leader Locky, who extends his lead by two points back up to three.

Division 2

Rochdale (5) 121
Blimby (0) 119
Sharon (3) 107
--------------------
Wynford (6) 105
Kev (1) 101
Phil (3) 98
The Mistress (4) 92
McGetta (3) 92
Braders (3) 81
SDU (4) 80
Andy (7) 70
Superseagull (9) 42
WynfordSon (2) 18

So once again the top-scorer is Superseagull (two in a row) with 9 [sign in to see URL] Andy's improved tally, Superseagull still gains on him!!!

And it's another return to the top for Rochdale in a very topsy turvy title race in Div 2. Meantime Wynford is closing in on the promotion places.

Week 23

Div 1

Wills (5) 119
Gong (7) 118
Haddock (4) 118
Locky (1) 118
Cheshire (4) 116
Early (5) 116
Wilts (4) 115
Munkeyboy (3) 115
Sussex (4) 110
Ian (3) 110
Dave (2) 109
-------------------------
Mrs Haddock (6) 108
Norton (2) 93
Eric Cornflake (5) 89

So we have a new leader as Wills follows up last week's 10 with a solid 5. I could only manage 4 so the lead is his!! Locky tumbles down after a 1 but Gong prevents me going back up to second after a 2nd successive strong scoring [sign in to see URL] week's joint best.

Meantime Dave slips back towards trouble, with Mrs Haddock notching a 2nd consecutive score of 6, rounding off a great week after progressing to the cup semi last weekend.

Division 2

Rochdale (6) 127
Blimby (4) 123
Sharon (5) 112
--------------------
Wynford (4) 109
Kev (6) 107
Phil (5) 103
McGetta (7) 99
The Mistress (5) 97
SDU (4) 84
Braders (2) 83
Andy (2) 72
Superseagull (6) 48
WynfordSon (3) 21

Rochdale improves his lead in the Div 2 table, despite his seemingly ever-reliable hometown club drawing a rare blank last night.

Congratulations to McGetta on joint top-scoring with Gong on 7.

No much else to report other than a bit of mid-table jostling, although SuperSeagull's hot pursuit of Andy continues its relentless progress with another 4 point [sign in to see URL]'t be long til Andy's shame is complete!!!

Re: 2009-10 Latest Standings

Week 24

Div 1

Wills (11) 130
Gong (5) 123
Locky (6) 124
Wilts (8) 123
Early (7) 123
Munkeyboy (6) 121
Haddock (3) 121
Sussex (9) 119
Dave (9) 118
Cheshire (2) 118
Ian (7) 117
-------------------------
Mrs Haddock (7) 115
Norton (7) 100
Eric Cornflake (3) 92

Wills grabs the headlines again this week. The only player to get into double figures this weekend, he strengthens his hold on 1st place with 11.

Wilts led a host of climbers this week, the main victims of which were The Capt and Chesh, who tumbled like an Argentinian footballer!

Congrats to Norton on finally reaching the big 100 with a healthy 7 point haul. Bad news for Corny, though, who is now a crushing 25 points from safety at the bottom.

Div 2

Rochdale (8) 135
Blimby (5) 128
Sharon (3) 115
--------------------
Wynford (4) 113
Phil (8) 111
Kev (4) 111
McGetta (8) 107
The Mistress (2) 99
SDU (3) 87
Braders (4) 87
Andy (5) 77
Superseagull (2) 50
WynfordSon (4) 25

In Div 2, Roch firmed up his hold on the lead, Wynford inched a point closer to the promotion places and there was some respite from Andy's embarrassment, as he outscored the late-starting hunters at the bottom.

Re: 2009-10 Latest Standings

Week 25

Div 1

Wills (3) 133
Gong (7) 130
Wilts (5) 128
Locky (2) 126
Sussex (6) 125
Early (1) 124
Dave (5) 123
Haddock (2) 123
Munkeyboy (1) 122
Cheshire (3) 121
Ian (2) 119
-------------------------
Mrs Haddock (2) 117
Norton (2) 102
Eric Cornflake (5) 97

So Gong (and on-form Wilts) narrow the gap on recent 'top boy' Wills, Sussex and Dave continue to bounce back and Chesh and I continue to fall like a lead balloon!

Div 2

Rochdale (2) 137
Blimby (2) 130
Sharon (3) 118
--------------------
Wynford (3) 116
Phil (2) 113 AND
Kev (2) 113
McGetta (1) 108
The Mistress (5) 104
Braders (6) 93
SDU (2) 89
Andy (1) 78
Superseagull (4) 54
WynfordSon (3) 28

Not much happening at all in Div 2, to be blunt! Only notables are The Mistress and Braders scoring high(ish) in an otherwise poor week.

Re: 2009-10 Latest Standings

Week 26

Div 1

Wills (4) 137
Wilts (6) 134
Gong (4) 134
Locky (6) 132
Dave (8) 131
Sussex (5) 130
Haddock (5) 128
Early (4) 128
Ian (6) 125
Cheshire (4) 125
Munkeyboy (3) 125
-------------------------
Mrs Haddock (3) 120
Norton (4) 106
Eric Cornflake (3) 100

So Wills holds on at the top but Wilts is closing in (overtaking Gong on the 'week's better score rule').

I managed to climb a place to stay in touch, edging Early out and Eric Cornflake finally reaches the golden 100 at the [sign in to see URL] time is running out for the perennial struggler.

Div 2

Rochdale (5) 142
Blimby (4) 134
Sharon (2) 120
--------------------
Kev (6) 119
Wynford (3) 119
Phil (2) 115
McGetta (4) 112
The Mistress (7) 111
Braders (2) 95
SDU (1) 90
Andy (6) 84
Superseagull (3) 57
WynfordSon (5) 33

Rochdale rounds off a good weekend (seeing us play well at last!!! and getting to finally meet the legendary Wedge) with a slight improvement to his lead, while Kev enjoys the fruits of his transfers with a promotion-revitalising 6.

But the country's best this week was Wills delightful muse The Mistress, who struck 7, sparking speculation of a late charge for the Top 3!!!

Re: 2009-10 Latest Standings

Week 27

Div 1

Wilts (9) 143
Wills (5) 142
Gong (7) 141
Locky (7) 139
Dave (5) 136
Sussex (5) 135
Haddock (5) 133
Ian (7) 132
Early (4) 132
Munkeyboy (6) 131
Cheshire (4) 129
-------------------------
Mrs Haddock (4) 124
Norton (6) 112
Eric Cornflake (4) 104

Wilts continues his stunning assault on the top with a week's best [sign in to see URL] we have our champion???

There's hardly anything else of interest this week with the high flyers almost all scoring well and positions staying pretty much the same.

Further down the pecking order Early is suffering from defa vu (scoring 4 again and being usurped by a better scoring 'underling' (this time Ian) on the 'week's better score rule').

Munkeyboy has improved his standing in the relegation chase and Norton shows signs of trying to claw back the daunting deficit she has from safety.

Div 2

Rochdale (6) 148
Blimby (7) 141
Sharon (6) 126
--------------------
Kev (6) 125
Phil (6) 121
Wynford (2) 121
The Mistress (6) 117
McGetta (4) 116
Braders (7) 102
SDU (4) 94
Andy (4) 88
Superseagull (7) 64
WynfordSon (7) 40

So no change at the top but Wynford charge for the top 3 is stunted by a miserable 2, dropping him back below Phil and within the on-form The Mistress's [sign in to see URL] she snatch one of the promotion slots? Now only 9 adrift.

Elsewhere, it's business as usual for Superseagull (where has he got to on the message boards btw?) and WynfordSon in closing in on Andy (despite Andy's desperate transfer business!!)

Re: 2009-10 Latest Standings

Week 28

Div 1

Wilts (11) 154
Wills (10) 152
Locky (9) 148
Sussex (11) 146
Dave (9) 145
Gong (4) 145
Ian (10) 142
Haddock (7) 140
Munkeyboy (6) 137
Early (5) 137
Cheshire (4) 133
-------------------------
Mrs Haddock (4) 128
Norton (6) 118
Eric Cornflake (4) 108

So a much bigger scoring week with the form players Wilts and Wills on their game again. Wills struck 10 but still loses ground to the tune of a point due to Wilts joint division's best of the week (Sussex also scored an excellent 11 too).

Norton claws another little bit back on Mrs H and Chesh, while Early seems to be in freefall, losing out on the 'week's better score rule' for the third consecutive week!!!

Div 2

Rochdale (3) 151
Blimby (2) 143
Kev (9) 134
------------------------
Sharon (3) 129
Wynford (5) 126
Phil (2) 123
The Mistress (5) 122
McGetta (5) 121
Braders (0) 102
Andy (10) 98
SDU (1) 95
Superseagull (7) 71
WynfordSon (1) 41

This week, Div 2 turned into the division that no-one wants to win!!! with only Kev, amongst the start of week's Top 5, scoring more than 3! He takes advantage to the tune of moving up a place back into the promotion places.

The division had almost universally shocking scores, Andy the only other big hitter in a revival that see him steam past the woeful [sign in to see URL] is now 'the targetted' by hunters Superseagull (where is he, btw?!) and WynfordSon.

This week's wooden spoon undoubtedly goes to Braders, whose Liverpool/Leicester/BHA combo saw him reign in a towering '0'!!!

Week 29

Div 1

Wilts (8) 162
Wills (8) 160
Sussex (9) 155
Dave (7) 152
& Gong (7) 152
Locky (4) 152
Munkeyboy (10) 147
Haddock (6) 146
Ian (4) 146
Early (7) 144
Cheshire (5) 138
-------------------------
Mrs Haddock (3) 131
Norton (6) 124
Eric Cornflake (6) 114

No change at the top, but Sussex continues his storming run in a late bid for glory.

Norton claws yet another small bit back on Chesh, who is in danger of slipping towards the zone.

Congratulations to week's winner Munkeyboy with an impressive [sign in to see URL] him clear of trouble (at least for now!!)

Div 2

Rochdale (7) 158
Blimby (2) 145
Kev (6) 140
------------------------
Wynford (4) 130
Sharon (1) 130
McGetta (7) 128
Phil (5) 128
The Mistress (3) 125
Braders (5) 107
Andy (6) 104
SDU (4) 99
Superseagull (8) 79
WynfordSon (3) 44

So a strong week for leader Roch, Blimby however is trying his best to get OUT of the promotion positions with a second consecutive score of 2, allowing Kev to close further in again.

Wynford and McGetta push on for a promo' challenge and very late arrival Superseagull continues his charge towards embarrassing the hapless SDU emoticon

Re: 2009-10 Latest Standings

Week 30

Div 1

Wilts (4) 166
Wills (5) 165
Dave (7) 159
Sussex (4) 159
Locky (6) 158
Gong (4) 156
Haddock (7) 153
Munkeyboy (5) 152
Early (7) 151
Ian (4) 150
Cheshire (6) 144
-------------------------
Mrs Haddock (7) 138
Norton (5) 129
Eric Cornflake (5) 119

Dave, amongst 4 top scorers in the Div with 7, continues his incredible rise from relegation trouble to take third!

Safety is now slipping away from Norton and Corny as Mrs Haddock continues her desperate bid for glory at Cheshire's expense.

Div 2

Rochdale (9) 167
Blimby (6) 151
Kev (3) 143
------------------------
Wynford (8) 138
Sharon (7) 137
McGetta (7) 135
The Mistress (7) 132
Phil (3) 131
Braders (5) 112
Andy (7) 111
SDU (6) 105
Superseagull (6) 85
WynfordSon (8) 52

Roch aka Mr Nice Guy, has almost clinched the title and is already certain for promotion, after another week's best (9), but Kev slipped again and Wynford's late charge for promotion gathers pace with a 5 point pullback leaving him just 5 off the mark.

Andy's recovery from embarrassment conts meantime, with another rival now in his sights, while congrats go to SDU in becoming the latest to make it to treble figures for the season.
