The 1.75 of us left have found little to make any noise about of late. :(
Anyway glad to see you around Wedgee, hope things are going okay for you.

Re: Season 18 / 19 Comments
A fact for 2019 we are the only team out of the 92 league teams not to have won a match so far this year.

Re: Season 18 / 19 Comments
What a result to do the double over Palace - okay so their home record this season is not great, but then neither is our away record.
To beat Palace any match is always a joy, and what superb goals they were.

Re: Season 18 / 19 Comments
So 35,000 Albion fans from all directions, but mainly the south (and Wedges family from around the world), converged on Wembley for a celebration.
It was of course the FA Cup Semi-Final. Funny thing is most, apart from maybe the school children dreamers, thought we would win, yet we made the area a blue and white visual spectacular, and that was before we entered the ground.
Man City fans just never turned up, for them it was just another match against inferior opposition, why get excited when you have European matches and the Premier to win?
It was the opposite for all Brighton fans, a party, a memory, it may not have been a final, but we were at Wembley and few will ever forget the occasion.
Of course we lost, to a wonder goal in the 4th minute. Here comes the thrashing, but it never came. By the closing stages of the match we started to believe we could score and go on to win this. Had the City defender not somehow cleared when it looked like Murray was going to have a tap in, it would have been a carnage of delight within the blue and white partying masses.
It was not to be, but as the winning fans cleared their end of the ground within minutes, we were still there celebrating with the team.
Okay maybe not too cool in footballing circles to celebrate a loss like we did, but who cares, it was a great day out and we are Brighton and Hove Albion, we can often do it slightly differently!
