Re: Ipswich Fans At The Amex
To recap the incident. Just before the players came out the Ipswich fans unfolded a long banner which read "Some things money cannot buy" then about two rows down another similar banner was unfolded saying"Football is'nt one of them. The Amex."
Well that really got the Albion fans going talk about abuse - talk about inciting a crowd!
To be fair to some of the Ipswich fans near the banner they seemed to walk away from it as if disowning themselves and no doubt the majority in other parts of the away end would have no idea what had happened to get all this attack from the Albion fans.
But it was such a strange banner to have - a waste of time and money. They clearly do not know our fight for the ground and who are we to Ipswich to suffer this insult from them?
Very Strange. Another smaller banner was unfolded at the start of the second half this time could not read what it said but a steward immediately tore it down and took it out the stadium.
For this match the usual applause for the away team attendance was boo'd. Ipswich fans today did themselves no favours.

Re: Ipswich Fans At The Amex
Spoke to a couple of Town fans after the game and they knew nothing about it. I have two good friends who are Ipswich fans and there was no mention of it on any of their message boards.
Told my mate he was gonna pay personally for it unless he comes up with a good reason for it but the general consensus was that they were ashamed and confused by the banner themselves.
Will see what unfolds post match before I stove his head in for being associated with the f*ckers

Re: Ipswich Fans At The Amex
Looking at an Ipswich Forum board, fans are not happy with this group of supporters. Apparently this group are against Clubs who connect themselves with large organizations e.g American Express, who they feel put money in to these Clubs.
However, Ipswich fans are making it clear that the Clubs Chairman and fans paid for the fight for a new Stadium and that we should be congratulated for our success!
It seems that once again a minority has spoilt it for the true football fans?
And as Cheshire says, this minority should have looked in to our history before wasting time & money on a pointless banner!

Seems a bit harsh in the light of further comments. However, while every club has some bell ends for fans, to go to the lengths of making banners is a different class in these circumstances.
Ipswich fans include a collection of solid gold cocksuckers.
